Tiered Solar Fountains are the answer for those individuals who want to have the water fountains benefits, reducing their stress and adding atmosphere without the extra expense and hassle. In terms of appearance and function, solar fountains are similar to standard fountains except for the fact that it is operated from the energy of the sun through solar panel instead from an outlet of electricity. The solar panel is responsible in converting sunlight in to electric energy that makes the pump circulate water for the fountain. This panel is connected into a thin wire either mounted separately or integrated as a whole. Whatever it is, it is crucial to determine that it does not store electricity but it produce so it requires direct sunlight to operate the fountain. To clarify, the water does not flow because it can’t power the pump when the climate is dark, cloudy or rainy. Three main types of Solar Fountains: 1. Pedestal or Birdbaths: It can have a single or multiple tiers depending on any style. The solar panel is placed in the basin where the water is circulated from it or from hidden reservoir through the head of the fountain that is bubbling or spraying. 2. Cascading Water Fountains: It contains more tiers that are usually smaller than birdbaths. It is operated by pumping water into the top of a multi-tiered cascade of the bowl or basin. Before the water reached the main basin, the water flows from one tier to the next. The solar panel is separated because it has a smaller size of cascade. 3. 1 Bowl Fountain: It is the smallest solar fountain that measures 1 foot high and less. It usually has a figurine of any kind which circulates the water on the rim of a single catch basin. Usually, the water will go through from the open mouth of an animal such as fish, lion or bird. The solar panel is often separated just like with the solar cascading fountain. James Morrison is the owner of Garden Fountains Gallery site your one stop shop for any kind of water fountains.
