With good cutting performance and sharp cutting effect, YG series cemented carbide also can be used to cut nonferrous metals. When cutting such materials, cutting crumbs would be with form of band shape and the cutting force is more stable, however, there is strong force of friction at front tool face, therefore the average temperature at cutting part is too high. Because of such material characteristics, the cutting tool should have good hardness even under high temperature, good performance of abrasive resistance, bonding resistance and oxidative stability. However, when cutting steel with YT series cemented carbide at low speed, you should be more careful, due to low cutting temperature, YT series cemented carbide has poor toughness so that it is easy to fall into ruins. Under such circumstance, the durability of YT series cemented carbide is not as better as YG series cemented carbide.
