College is a time for growth and development, arguably more than any other time in your life. The reason for this is simple: it's the first time you've been away from their dictatorship. Their rules and regulations, their need to tell you when to be in the house, and what you can and of course can't do. But with that, comes an entirely new set of challenges, including where you're going to live when you go to college. This is one of the reasons dorms are there. Because people need to be able to not worry about where they're living and focus on the new person they are becoming. Having said that, what happens if you don't live in a dorm and you and some friends decide to rent a two bedroom apartment, and have to divide it up. What do you do then? While in other parts of the country, it may be clear and easy to see the answer, where I live it's not. It's called pressurized walls, also known as temporary walls. What this will allow for is you and your friends to have their privacy, while still having a low price for rent. It's far better to divide and conquer a room, than it is to try and figure out how you're going to be paying for a 2000.00 a month room, let alone, having guests over. Having your own room, where you and your buddies can have company, is far better than having to put a sock on the door or some other form of notification. This is especially true if you're the one on the outside wanting to come home and get a good nights sleep. If you're female, the same is true in many ways. You may not be looking to put a sock on the door, but you may be looking to discover how creative you can be and have your own space for the first time. I know this is the case with some friends of mine that have 7 children. All but one is the boy, and the oldest is 14 and desperately wanting a room for herself, so she can learn and develop into her own room. Pressurized walls are the clear solution to solving this problem and so many more. Be slow to accept answers of old, and quick to start thinking outside of the box, you'll be satisfied, the stress in your life will be lessened and you and everyone else will be much happier.
