Pregnancy and Myomas Finally, it is not advisable to become pregnant if you have large uterine tumors, unless you undergo a myomectomy, where the tumors themselves are removed from the uterus. Avoiding pregnancy is essential because serious complications can arise during a pregnancy if you have fibroids. Taking birth control pills is advisable in this situation because the birth control pills will regulate your menstruation whilst at the same time greatly reducing your chances of falling pregnant.
