Studios Group Martial Arts Calgary offers a martial arts team experience that is second to none. Our martial arts competition program offers training in Olympics-style tae kwon do, used by the Word World Taekwondo Federation. Our martial arts team, the Raptors, has students ranging in age (7-30) and ability (yellow belt to black belt). Raptor taekwondo training includes high-level sparring training and advanced patterns training. There are many benefits of becoming part of our martial arts team including: • training three days /week for colour belts and up to six days/week for National Black Belt Competitors; • attending between 10-15 tournaments each year including international tournaments such as the Junior Worlds and Junior Pan Am and the US Open Taekwondo Championships; • being part of a team that has produced more than 100 provincial champions and 20 national champions in sparring and patterns; • learning the value of fundraising for important causes, including the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation; and • becoming part of a great martial arts family. At SGMA we are very proud of our martial arts competition program. Master Thibault has personally trained over 100 provincial champions and 20 national champions in both sparring and patterns. SGMA trains in the Olympic style Taekwondo, the World Taekwondo Federation, and have had athletes compete at several international tournaments such as the Junior Worlds, Junior Pan Am and the US Open Taekwondo Championships. Studios Group Martial Arts Calgary is a martial arts school that maintains the traditional martial arts values while incorporating advanced and modern martial arts training and teaching methods.Our students achieve their belts in World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) Taekwondo, but we also have training for our martial arts competition team, grappling, self defense courses and weapons.We offer martial arts for kids in Calgary, martial arts for preschoolers as well as adult and family martial arts Taekwondo in Calgary.
