Usually used where high strength and moderate corrosion resistance are required. • Precipitation hardening: High strength can be developed in these steels by adding Copper, Aluminum and Niobium. A: Austenitic stainless steels are usually used at low temperature and another factor that can affect the choice of steel at low temperature is the resist transformation ability from austenitic to Martensitic.
