Near or far sightedness is caused because your eye ball is longer or shorter than normal. Is there any way that a blade not be used? If you are not on the best of terms with needles and blades, ReLEx Femto Lasik is the answer to your prayers. This new technique eliminates the need to create large cuts or flaps with a blade (as in the conventional Lasik) since it creates a 3-5 mm keyhole with a laser, thus making it a truly bladeless and minimally invasive surgery. •Will it be too painful? The eye might be a little itchy after the procedure, but the anaesthetic drops ensure that you do not experience any pain during the procedure. The surgeon can always prescribe a pain medication for you. •For how many years will the effects last? Lasik will permanently remove your current spectacle numbers.
