Having friends in the right places can often be useful, as I found out when I was looking into NLP courses Newcastle recently. I could have waited for the next course to start but as I was planning to move to another city, I wanted to complete my training before I moved. NLP teaches that our mind-body (neuro) and what we say (language) all interact together to form our perceptions of the world, or maps (programming). Each person's map of the world determines feelings and behaviour. Therefore, impoverished - and unrealistic - maps can restrict choices and result in problems. As an approach to personal development or therapy it involves understanding that people create their own internal 'map' or world, recognizing unhelpful or destructive patterns of thinking based on impoverished maps of the world, then modifying or replacing these patterns with more useful or helpful ones. There is also an emphasis on ways to change internal representations or maps of the world in order to increase behavioural flexibility. Many people come to NLP looking for assistance with a specific change and stay on to learn more because of the personal change and development that they’ve achieved through it. By exploring NLP, they learn to communicate with and understand themselves much better. Whilst concurrently, they communicate and understand better with those around them. Over time, this leads to on-going and positive change in their lives. Some people seem to intuitively understand the rules of attraction, seduction and relationships. Others appear completely unaware and therefore entirely unable to use them to their advantage. For some men, particularly approaching and talking to women can be a scary experience. NLP approaches can provide some surprisingly effective insights and resources for individuals to aiming to attract, seduce and/or build relationships.
