Any low carb diet will fare much better if you maintain a healthy intake of healthy fats in the food that you eat. You will have high energy levels, as long as you maintain your diet in this way.

The way you snack in between meals can often undermine your diet if you're not careful. Many snacks, such as chips, candy and cookies, can wreak havoc with your diet. On the other hand, you can find many snacks that are perfectly healthy and low in carbs. Try fresh or dried fruits, nuts, hummus (made from chickpeas) and other natural and healthy snacks. When you do give in to temptation with snacks, get into the habit of choosing bags or boxes in very small sizes. When it comes to dieting, quantity is at least as important as quality, so eating a kid sized bag of chips won't kill you. What you want to avoid most of all with unhealthy snacks is digging into a giant bag or box of something. Low carb diets have a lot to offer, and you may find this is the answer to reaching your target weight. The more you know about health and nutrition, the more likely it is that you'll succeed with a low carb diet. Everyone needs a certain number of carbs in their diet, so don't get carried away. If you eat sensible portions of carbs, and those that are healthy, you will be practicing the right formula.
