Introduction & Working: It defines itself that this should be the superior and safest cooking method in this modern times. If we go into the recent past, there was no imagination to cook without fire and flames. But this technology has proved much improvised, safe, no-polluting method and many more benefits. While gas and electric stoves create heat using burners that supports gas flames or red hot heating coils, but induction cook tops cooks food by heating up the pot itself. It has a simple procedure of creating electromagnetic current under the surface that runs through the pot creating resistance in the pot metal and in turn creating the heat required to cook food. Induction Cook Tops:- More briefing Process:- An induction cook top has the theory of heating the metal pots, not the cooking surface. This can be observed by laying hand on an induction burner turned to desired high as well and you will not feel a bit of heat. On the same base, if you put a ferrous metal pot or pan filled with water, you will see the water boiling in no time. The induction burners can be turned up or down instantly, much like gas, as the surface has never to heat up or cool down. Best & Efficient Appliances:- The most beneficial and economical feature of his is it very efficient and safe. Traditional cooking methods loose between 60% (natural gas) and 50 % (electric coils), of the heat they produce before the energy ever begins warming up your food. Now the question is where this energy does goes? The heat and energy produced is lost either by absorbing of the cook top surface especially in electric stoves/Glass tops and also is absorbed by the surroundings and heats instead of utilised as cooking food. But induction cooking has the capacity to transfer about 90% of the heat energy for the actual cooking of food and 10% on the wastage to other means. This clearly shows that we are consuming maximum energy at minimum affordable price as compared to cooking on natural gas & electric cook tops. One more benefit of Induction Cook Top is that it saves Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) which is very costly and typically provided. It consume Electric but Electricity is more easily available than Liquid Petroleum Gas. Drawbacks of Induction Cooking: The only drawback of this type of cooking is that it works with ferrous metal pots and pans Such as Cast iron and Stainless steel. Any non ferrous metal such as Aluminium, copper, Pyrex will not work on it. Although, research is on and in the coming times there could be an introduction of technology which could work o any alloy or other metal combination. Installation: This appliance is very easy to install, all it needs is simply a three pin socket outlet to plug in and a counter part to fit over it. It requires space thickness wise not more than 2 inches and can be placed anywhere in kitchen.
