Anyone that sets foot on a college campus, regardless of the reason for the visit, usually takes some time to visit the bookstore and take a look around. Much like the student union, the bookstore is a hub of activity on campus. Students come here to purchase their books for class, and they shop here when they need to stock up on notebooks, pens, highlighters, and other supplies. If you are a parent or a prospective student though, you go to the University of Alabama store to buy Crimson Tide merchandise. If you can imagine a product with the school's logo on it, you can probably find it at the University of Alabama store. There are things that you can picture kids using while they live in dorms, but there are other things in stock that you would only picture moms and dads buying. Most recently, a lot of the new shirts they carry have charging or trumpeting elephants on them. This is in honor of Big Al, the official pachyderm mascot of the school. Some representations of Big Al make him look very fierce, while others depict him as looking more cartoon-like. In any event though, "tuskwear", is definitely available for both adults and children. You can find stuffed animal elephants and tiny Bama pajamas for the youngest fans in the family. Whenever you visit the campus, it is a good to set aside some time and money for your stop at the University of Alabama store. It will probably be pretty difficult not to find something you want, even if it is just a new koozie or a travel mug for your coffee. These things do come in handy, and any die-hard fan would be eager to have yet one more item that shows where his or her loyalties lie. When you are in the store, though, always remember to check for a sale shelf. The retailer might have to mark some items down in order to make room for new products.
