Written Assignments are the norm in today’s world of technology. Every time we are scribbling thing things on a computer. It is important to note that these notes that we scribble on a daily basis may not make any sense to a significant number of people is they lack quality. It is essential to ensure that article critique writing, for instance, takes into account the factors of academic quality, with respect to written assignments. Readable Words and Sentences Font type is very important in article critique writing or any other type of academic work. New Times Roman is much more readable than calligraphic fonts. Different fonts are meant for different activities. For instance, font types that utilize calligraphic styles are very useful in art. However, the same types are not the best for article critique writing. Choice of font type, therefore, is an important factor. In order to understand a piece of text, readers must make sense of words and sentences fast. This can be hampered by non-readable texts. Therefore, it is important that article critique writing utilizes formats that are recommended for academic papers. In addition to the choice of font type, it is also essential to use the type font size. For article critique writing and other types of academic work, font size 12 is normally the recommended size. Unless otherwise stated, it is advisable to use font size 12. Consistent Statements Normally, article critique writing begins with a thesis. A thesis is a central point of argument on which all statements made at the latter parts are focused. It is, therefore, necessary to ensure that all evidences and statements are consistent with the thesis statement. Otherwise, the statements may contradict the meaning intended as the topic of the article critique writing process. Starting with a thesis is meant to introduce the reader to the principal argument. Therefore, the sections that come in the body and conclusion of the article critique writing process must include opinions and points that are in line with the thesis. It is not advisable to introduce several disagreeing statements because it distorts the focus required to understand the essay. The process of article critique writing must ensure that one sentence leads to another. The transition from one sentence to the other must be seamless. This means that, in article critique writing, the choice of transition words must match the turn or progress of discussion. Structured Text Article critique writing should flow from section to section. For instance, writers should move from the introduction, to the body, and then the conclusion. Some writers begin with the conclusion and work back to the introduction. The danger with this is that there is likely to be confusion or contradiction among statements. Good article critique writing must have a quality conclusion. This is a concluding paragraph that sums up the discussion accurately. This can only be achieved by developing the initial sections to determine the central point. The sections must be labeled clearly. Labeling sections appropriately makes reading easy. For example, a reader may be interested in one section only. It will only be possible for the reader to identify information of his interest if the article critique writing process ensures that the paper is presented in sections with properly worded headings and subheadings.
