Renting your property to a tenant is a decision which should have fact based information about the tenant as a back up.While renting a property the landlord hands over the keys to the tenant. This practically makes the tenant partial owner of the property.The tenant is the person residing and the upkeep of the property, to some extent depends on him/her.Many stories keep emerging where a landlord is found frustrated because the property on rent was found to be damaged on the tenant's exit. When a tenant looks for a property on rent it is presumed that he/she will treat it like a second home. This is a wrong thing to assume,from a landlord's perspective. A tenant can be from the same city where he/she is looking for a rental house or can belong to a different location. Quite often little or nothing is known about a tenant and still the person is trusted with the rented property.

The landlord should always take necessary precautions to save the hassles later on, in case a tenant proves to be a ill mannered person. Renting your property brings along different challenges which can only be encountered if every possible information about the tenant is known.Before renting a property the landlord fixes the rent according to the condition of the property and the prevailing market prices. This decision is important and well thought of from the landlord's perspective.Similarly the decision to know the tenant prior entrusting the person with your house should be an equally important decision. To have information about the tenant's past behavior, employment history, financial status helps the landlord stay assured and tension free.A timely and proper detection of possible negative traits of the tenant can save the landlord land in a soup. A proper tenant verification can help the current landlord check with the previous landlord if the tenant was a rent payment defaulter or a quarrelsome person. The landlord can have a painful time getting the rent from the tenant, and if the tenant is asked to vacate the property he/she might refuse to do so. In this scenario if the landlord seeks help from police, the police will hold the landlord liable for renting the property to a miscreant without prior knowledge of facts.

Tenant verification saves the landlord from facing a situation wherein it might become difficult to cope with. Tenant verification empowers the landlord with all the relevant information about the prospective tenant through a tenant verification company. The tenant verification company gets the verification of the tenant done in a way which highlights all the negative traits and incidents if any, related to the prospective tenant and acts as a preventive measure.
