'Rise of the Guardians' is an animated movie that rekindles those old childhood days. The movie features all the angels like Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and Sandman. A must-watch! Animated movies are quite fun to watch. Talk about their characters, plot or the whole presentation, these movies never fail to sweep viewers off their feet. One such movie is ‘Rise of the Guardians’ which got released in November last year. The concept of this one is based on the whole fairy thing. Ever since childhood, we’ve believed in certain guardian angels. Everybody loved Santa, nobody used to forget to hide his/her tooth under the pillow for the sake of Tooth Fairy, everybody used to thank Sandman for all those beautiful dreams and as a matter of fact everybody used to believe in Easter Bunny too. And all these angels are present in this English movie. Exciting enough, right? In fact if you look at it, the tagline of this movie ‘Legends Unite’ perfectly suits the whole concept of it. What entices one even more is its star cast. It’s amazing to see that stars like Hugh Jackman, Alec Baldwin and Isla Fisher are part of this movie. That indeed makes you feel excited about it. The other plus point is the fact that this flick comes from the makers of ‘How To Train A Dragon’. It’s directed by Peter Ramsey. Though it’s his directional debut, the movie comes out as a pro in the category of ‘Animation’. IMDB hasn’t rated it 7.2 just like that. It just doesn’t end there. The dialogues are amazingly written and delivered. The meaningful essence of these makes it even better. For example, the one dialogue by Jack Frost (the protagonist of the movie) which goes like “Darkness. That's the first thing I remember. It was dark, and it was cold. And I was scared.” Other than the concept and plot, brilliant dialogues also play a major role in the success of this movie. Also, it talks about the moral that it conveys through the story. It introduces the angels and the evil spirits too; and talks about the age-old plot of good vs. evil where eventually the good wins. It’s kind of fun to watch all the angels fight for righteousness. Also many references will stun you here. The one from the ‘Alice from Wonderland’ is quite intriguing. The scene goes like this: ‘Bunneymund opens a rabbit hole and jumps down it.’ The reference is from the scene when a rabbit hole in ‘Alice in Wonderland’ leads into another dimension. The best you may find is the part when Jack Frost calls Bunny a kangaroo. And later to clarify in the scene, Bunny says, “It’s the accent, isn’t it?” Well, this is the reference to Hugh Jackman who was born in Australia, the land of Kangaroos. Having said all this, the best part is it’s soon coming as ‘Mega Movie of the Month’ on an English movie channel. A must-watch, if you are a Hollywood fan.
