Most of the dermatologists and skin specialists suggest that one must never use a sunscreen which has an SPF less than 15. If you have a sensitive skin or got a fair complexion, then you must use a sunscreen with a higher SPF. The application of such sunscreens also plays an important role. Therefore, you need to ensure that sufficient amount of lotion is applied before you step out in the sun. A lot of people make the mistake of applying sunscreens just before stepping out. It should in fact be applied at least 30 minutes before going out in the sun, so that the skin can absorb the lotion in the mean time and its benefits can be maximized.
