AMS 4904 is an aluminum alloy of an is ideal late weight material it has various of possible advantages over other alloys in industries alike arrow space industries and flight material industries it is a Ti-6 AL4B, Grade five titanium alloy. By the virtue of its light flight an carrions resistance the demand of this alloys is increasing day by day. In the air craft an aero craft industries it has secured a very stable demand due to its advantages for that reason entire the world is providing AMS 4904 a great important on fields of research and development of a light weight, higher strength and economy effective flight material. If we consider the performance and practices of the AMS 4904 alloy material then it has many. AMS 4904, with specific strength and stiffness proves to be an enduring structural material. In air craft industries also in military air craft, this aluminum alloy can play a good functionality to minimize the demand of aluminum. Due to its light weight, strength and strictness ASM 4904 has always been in utter demand, also with its toughness and tolerance, it has been stood first among al the aluminum alloy. Also in addition to it's with high corrosion resistance and good performance guarantees its efficiency and reliability AMS 4904 as a good flight metal. Apart from the AMS 4904, AMS 4965 is also one such alloy which is highly efficient titanium alloy of Grade 5. It comes under ATI Ti-6Al-4V of UNS R56400 grade of Titanium alloy. This is a two phase alloy of alpha + beta titanium alloy, where aluminum acts as alpha stabilizer and Vanadium acts as beta stabilizer. Because of its cryogenic properties this alloy can be used at a cryogenic temperature of 800 degree Fahrenheit. This grade 5 alloy is also can be treated on aged condition applications like compressor blades, disc, rings for jet engine, airframe and space capsule components, helicopter rotor hubs and fasteners. The methods of production of this alloy are vacuum arc, electron beam, and plasma arc heat melting (PAM). ASM 4965 has a melting range of 2800-3000 degree Fahrenheit with beta transus temperature 1830 degree Fahrenheit. These Titanium alloy has great machinability used for austenitic stainless steels with slow speeds, heavy feeds, rigid tools and non-chlorinated cutting tools. One of the other technical properties of this alloy is weldability, here in this property the alloy is welded in annealed condition in a partially aged condition. But precautions must be taken while preventing the contamination of oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen. One can use spot, seam, and flash welding without resorting of protective atmospheres. Well there are some precautions to be followed while the use of AMS 4965 titanium alloys, like contamination of hydrogen during improper pickling and carbon carbon pickup during forging, heat treatment etc. hence if you want to use AMS 4965 then you can use the specifications like bars and forgings which can be annealed or heat treatable. Well in all both the AMS 4904 and AMS 4965 has amazing specifications and properties to be successfully used in many emerging industries including aerospace and flight industries as Flight Metals.
