It is a topic being taught, practiced and widely accepted all over India ; though many abroad settings doesn’t legally promote this for being a strong reason of losing their national and genetic innate asset. IN India the concept is quite different as right from eras donating an embryo factor or providing an assistance to fetal shelter is a great help and service. The reason behind having a lot of interest and scope of fertility in India though the availability of donors but another significant fact is ; the cost demands and tourism, shelter cost that is too affordable for such a long period of around one year of completion of the cycle which is very much impossible in other localities. As all of us aware that when we walk around some medical campus and centers we find a lot of name boards placing as infertility and surrogacy clinics. A turnover report on Indian Industry of infertility is expected to be a whopping US$2. 8 billion by 2015 which is something great to feel about. Basic types of surrogacy in India are Traditional Surrogacy By keeping in mind about genetic preservation is most essential for the couple the method that is followed is traditional Surrogacy Genetic Surrogacy where eggs are collected from the genetic mother herself and fertilized with the sperms of genetic father’s through an artificial insemination. This could greatly help especially for the parents who is in high demand of transmitting their family characteristics of the baby like it may be the color of the baby, hair color, height etc. Because genetically it is predetermined one in terms of egg and sperm. Gestational Surrogacy This is bit economical compared to the prior as there is no compulsion to inherit genetic characteristics from one generation to the other. Commercial surrogacy It is something purely based on a profit basis where the donor is an unknown mother for eggs and sperms too .In the other case scenarios relatives or known donors can lend a help without expecting money from the potential couple. Altruistic surrogacy It is a gifting mode of service; it is sometimes believed to be a great service by gifting their womb for a womb less mothers. A culturally pleased and felt by many parents that being a part of womb of others and assisting in becoming a parent for someone is like service to the god and society so people rarely render this altruistic service to the known or unknown in the demand of a child.
