Hiring of employees is a very crucial decision in organisations irrespective of the size or sector it belongs to. An organisation is a projection of the employees who make the organisation reach new heights. An employee joins an organisation and brings along a set of skills and expertise relevant to the work role hired for. He / she uses those skills to foster individual success and makes the organization succeed as well. This key attribute is a lookout for hiring managers as well as candidates worldwide and is looked upon as a source of value addition to the organisation. Though it was a different story until the recent past. The hiring practices were undertaken without giving due consideration to the parameters of culture fit and job fit. Bulk hiring was the prime motive with most of the organizations and the candidates were welcomed on board by relying on the resumes presented. Little or no effort was put behind knowing the authenticity of the facts and figures stated in the resume by a particular candidate. The resume and the candidate's sailing through the interview was the deciding factor for on boarding. The loopholes in this hiring practice are brought to the notice of the organization only when instances of fake resumes and lies bubble upto reach the surface. Organizations end up regretting their decisions later on but that proves to be of no help.

Many organizations have learned from the past mistakes pertaining to employee hiring and recruitment decisions. They have therefore become more inclined towards taking proactive approach when it comes to hire employees. The hiring practices have become more dynamic and is ever evolving.Due credit is deserved by the background verification organizations in working closely with organizations worldwide as a problem solver and solution provider. Prior hiring an employee at any levels of hierarchy an employee background check has become the rule of thumb. It makes organizations get to know the unknown about an employee and compare the authenticity of the antecedents stated in the resume.Any negative traits about the employee which might have an adverse impact on the employee's productivity or the organisation gets identified and highlighted once an employee background check is conducted. It helps organization keep employees away from organizations who carry a stellar resumes to impress hiring managers and bag lucrative jobs but lack genuineness.Background check helps to keep fraud candidates away and provide enough information so as to equip them in taking well informed and sound decisions.
