The physician will also receive an Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) detailing all payments received from the insurer that day, to assist the doctor's medical billing staff in reconciling all payments received and balances owed. Don't delay reviewing the EOBs and ERAs. If you don't swiftly process your Medical Claim payments and there is a mistake, you could lose your right to appeal the decision, correct the Medical Billing error, and resubmit the claim. The deadline for appealing a claim is typically 45 days.
