There are so many reasons you may want to tone and tighten your belly. They may range from wanting to look and feel healthier to simply wanting to look better in your clothes. The scale itself can vary because of many factors including hormones, sleep, water consumption, and salt intake. To tone and tighten your belly, here are some helpful tips: • All sugar is detrimental to weight loss. It does not matter if the sugar in your diet comes from fruit, honey or plain white sugar. All sugar sources are processed similarly by your body and too much sugar is a leading reason why weight loss plans fail. I’m certainly not saying to never have fruit, but just be mindful and limit your intake to 1-2 a day. • In order to make sure that “healthy” food is not thickening your waistline, be sure to monitor calories and “suggested” serving size. • Balance your protein, carbs, and fat for overall health. Eat small meals throughout the day so your blood sugar stays on an even keel, resulting in less hunger pangs and likely, fewer binges. • Exercise at least 4-5x per week for optimal results. This means elevating your heart rate to burn calories and fat. • Drink half your body weight in ounces of water each day It certainly is not a hard task to tone and tighten your belly once you know exactly what your body needs to perform at its best. Once you have your mind set on achieving your goal, it’s up to you to take action. It’s either you make excuses or you take action. If you are ready to take action and are ready to do exactly what your body needs it to do in order to tone and tighten your belly, than you are already half way there.
