Everything is possible when Cisco or for that matter any other IT biggie change the exam tracks or make changes in certification courseware modules. Let us analyze the main points of concern for most candidates and how does one know the various effects of this transition: First and the foremost thing is that one may mix match and pass either if the composite exams – 640-802 or 200-120 both will earn you the coveted CCNA designation. Alternately, in case one chooses the spilt path, one may pass 640-822 ICND1 and 640-816 ICND2 to earn CCNA certification or one could also pass 100-101 and 200-101. Starting October 1st 2013 the previous exams will retire and will no longer be available to the public. They gave full six months to the professionals to get whatever exams they wish to work on and attain this most popular certification.
