Recently I posted how to exfoliate your skin using my Oatmeal Scrub, so how can you make a natural homemade moisturizer in 5 minutes that will leave you feeling fresh and rejuvenated? I’ll show you how…. As promised here is my extremely simple homemade moisturizer using only 3 ingredients. INGREDIENTS ½ cup Coconut Oil 1 teaspoon Rosehip Oil Teatree Oil Or substitute with any essential oil e.g. Lavender, Rose, Ylang ylang to the fragrance you prefer. Use for your oil burners also. HOW TO MAKE In the colder months coconut oil will solidify so extract it from the jar by scraping with the tip of a knife or spoon, then putting it into a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of Rosehip Oil and ¾ teaspoon of Tea Tree Oil. Combine the ingredients until you have a soft smooth, lump free paste. Voila……..That’s it! Could not be simpler, easy fuss free, inexpensive moisturizer that has no chemicals. Before putting the mixture into the airtight jar of your choice, ensure they have been sterilized by boiling in water on the stove for approximately 5 minutes, or you may prefer to use sterilizing tablets like the ones for baby bottles. The jars I've chosen cost me $1 at a $2 Shop so no need to go to great lengths for elaborate containers. I find it easiest to use a small spatula, scraping the mixture out of the bowl into the jars. Adding a ribbon or lace makes it a fantastic inexpensive gift for someone. Try giving it as a gift along with soaps, hand towels, even hair accessories for little girls, wrapped in paper and sealed with a ribbon. Homemade with Love....Your friends will love it. The benefits of using Coconut oil are immense and what a better way to feel great about yourself by starting with this moisturizer which I use morning before putting my makeup on and at night. The advantages are you can use it on most parts of your body. After a shower at night, I love to use it on my legs, feet and elbows which are often dry and a forgotten part of most regimes. The fantastic part is because it’s so inexpensive you don’t have to be conscious of how much you use. When I use to buy moisturizing products, I used them sparingly as they cost so much to replace every month, this way you can save money and use as much as you like! Coconut Oil has many health, beauty and cooking qualities and has been used for centuries aiding with weight loss, healing, and softening of fine facial lines making your skin healthy and radiant. Tea Tree Oil is one of the most versatile oils assisting with skin care as well as minor cuts, burns and stings. The smell may not be as pretty as some of the other essential oils but I love its healing quality. Rosehip Oil helps regenerate and repair all skin types. Ideal for reducing small scarring and improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles naturally. Enjoy!! Suzanne Beck Homemade Natural Products Advice for Men on fashion and everday tips
