I've been a subscriber to Netflix for several years now, and consider it to be one of the greatest amusement investments I have ever made. For a couple of pounds a month I have watched hundreds of shows that are great and revel in new films on a regular basis, it's excellent value. However something occurred last year that caused it to be even better, something I would like to share with you. It all occurred when my partner and that i got addicted to the Sci-fi show - Lost, you know the one where they're stuck on a desert island. Netflix had all 70 episodes that are odd although it was a few years after launch and we saw one nights for weeks. Then abruptly we sat down to view, episode 50 something and I couldn't locate it anywhere. Netflix kept saying it was unavailable after i searched it. I believed this was a temporary glitch but a week later it still hadn't returned, and so I began searching the net. We discovered thousand like us who'd located the show had fully gone from no warning Netflix or anything - we were left stranded in mid season. In one of the posts that are furious I found online, there was a clue which I followed up. Apparently it had been just the UK version of Netflix which had deleted Lost, because of a licensing problem. It existed to a UK resident, still on the United States and Canadian model of Netflix it continued 'Lost'. Some weeks later I was in Chicago for a conference, and I clicked on my Netflix program to determine whether it would still work. To my surprise, Netflix noticed I was in an alternate nation and redirected me to the USA variant instead. Also there listed in my favorites I could see 'Lost' accessible once more. I did some more research and learned that it was through my IP address that my place was discovered by Netflix and decided which version I should see when I returned home. Netflix is in fact a world-wide account as well as your subscription simply follows you around wherever you actually are. Luckily I understood as I'd used the trick to look at the BBC online when on foreign holidays that it was possible to change your IP address. I logged into Netflix again and found a means to switch my address briefly to some US one. I was instantly rerouted to the far superior US variant again, and effectively doubled the number of films accessible to me. Just as importantly my spouse and I had the ability to look at the concluding episodes of 'Lost'.
