The 20th century brought dramatic changes to carpets that made them-and the need for residential carpet cleaning-more prevalent than ever. One rug that may be more familiar to moviegoers was used on the set of the "Christmas Story." Investigations into its origins revealed that it was a 1950s design by Kerman. It was donated to the home in Ohio that now serves as a museum for the movie memorabilia.
