Why do companies and small business owners choose to invest in promotional items such as branded pens, keychains, water bottles, USB drives, and the like? Well, for one, promotions items are exceptional at drawing attention. There are countless times when potential clients have been drawn to booths or kiosks because of the free giveaways. In other words, it is a cost-effective way to draw in potential clients without going over your marketing budget. Statistics provide further credence as a recent study showed that trade-show traffic increased by a whopping 176 percent when booths gave out promotional items to people.

Secondly, think about the power of promotional products. As opposed to fleeting television ads or fading radio commercials or even print ads, items like branded pens hold the power to stick around for a long time. So long as they continue to function or perform, people will keep them around. This provides you with massive power and influence. Having said that, be sure to select promotional items that are truly useful to people and that they will not fail to use on a daily basis.

Another benefit of using promotional items is that you are never really out of sight from your customers. And by extension, you will not be out of mind which is 100 percent the goal and the reason why you will make the effort to produce branded pens and other types of promotional products. According to another study that was recently conducted, 39 percent of people recall the name of the company that gave them a promotional product even six months after receiving it.

Branded pens and other promotional items are also a fantastic and unique way to break from traditional advertising methods. You will pay less, and you have the potential to reach people that you may not have been able to otherwise. After all, a company t-shirt that you give out can travel the world or even the country but a television ad or radio commercial may not be able to do so. Allow your promotional items to do the talking for you.

Also, do not forget that people love freebies! If you are looking for a surefire way to boost the reputation of your company and have potential clients view it in a positive light, this is it. Look no further. Promotional items can save the day and they can also be used to reward hardworking employees.
