Quite a few tech savvy lawyers are already able to mine Big Data to find out what really happened in law suits and investigations and so resolve disputes fairly. A few are working on the next step to analyze data to project the likelihood of future misconduct. That is the future we face, full of new opportunities, but also new dangers, especially on the privacy front. On day 2 Markus Hartung will be the Keynote Speaker. His Keynote will focus on “Technology and trends in the legal market: disruption, evolution or - just hype? Perspectives from the European market.” Markus observes that “lawyers don’t look at technology in a consistent way. Either they over valuate it, or they under valuate it. The rapid changes and developments make it even worse. The purpose of our study was to shed light on the role of technology and the importance of alternative service providers.
