A mismatched dress for a bridesmaid is not something new. In the last few years, this concept succeeded in gaining much popularity. It is a unique trend which is both fun as well as frugal. Unlike in the yesteryear's when each bridesmaid wore similar dresses, today's bridesmaids have shifted focus to wearing dresses that are mismatched and still look good. Smart ideas on ways to show some variation For those who want to try mismatched bridesmaid dresses, here are some smart ideas on how they can show some variation. These ideas are as follows, - Style- The bridesmaids can wear same color dresses, but in different styles. Take for instance one bridesmaid can wear an outfit having an A-line while another can try an empire cut outfit or a pencil cut. This way every woman will have the flexibility of selecting a dress that will flatter her body shape best. Not only this, the concept of mismatched dresses will also cut down the stress because one will not need to worry about putting on outfits that make them uncomfortable
- Experiment with colors- It is good to select a different dress for each bridesmaid. Along with choosing different outfits, one should also ensure that these have complimentary colors. Going for dresses which have different shades of one particular color is also an excellent idea. For instance, one can select a dress in cream while another in gray. Besides, selecting pleated dresses having the same style yet different in color will also work wonders. Another great idea is to try dresses in vibrant and lovely shades. In short, it is good to go with rainbow colors including violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red. Most importantly, to attain the perfect look one should ensure that each bridesmaid carries matching bouquets and wear matching shoes
- Go neutral- For those who are not comfortable with the rainbow look and feel that it is too intense, they can opt for a plain neutral look. They can choose a plain dress in a specific color and ensure that each bridesmaid dons the same dress. For creating variation, they can try wearing mismatched colorful shoes and carry multicolored bouquets
- Try different hairstyles and necklines- another innovative idea is to try different hairstyles on different bridesmaids. To attain that ultimate look, one should ensure that every bridesmaid wears a hairstyle which compliments her look and they can also try different hair accessories. Along with different hairstyles they can also try different necklines. All bridesmaids can wear similar dresses, but having a different neckline. There are different styles of necklines available these days to help one choose a style that will look best
Fashion trends come and go and this applies to bridesmaid dresses too. Now is the time for short bridesmaid dresses. What sets them apart is these look unique in contrast with the traditional long dresses that the bride wears. These are mostly designed in bright colors to beautifully complement the bride’s traditional white dress. A mismatched short dress will definitely look chic and trendy.a
