If you're like most parents, you are constantly bewildered by how much work your children are. Their needs seem endless, but unfortunately, your energy isn't. If you've found yourself frustrated or are tired of feeling constantly fatigued, it might be a good idea to find a place for them to get out some of that pent-up energy. One of the best places for curious, energetic children is a Montessori preschool in Laguna Hills. When you find the right preschool, it challenges your child's mind and body, which means they come home a little more settled, a little more fulfilled, and a lot happier. Montessori-Certified Teachers One of the first things to look for in a preschool is a great staff. If the teachers have no qualifications other than they aren't criminals, look elsewhere. You could pay a babysitter a lot less money and get the same kind of service. At a great preschool, teachers have spent months, if not years, training in the Montessori method. These teachers are very good at what they do and their goal isn't to survive the day, but to hit important milestones with each child. You should always feel empowered to ask about their credentials and request to sit in on a class. If the school has a problem with either one of these requests, you should probably look elsewhere. A Curriculum for All Ages Another thing to consider is whether the preschool you are considering has classes for your child's age group. Some schools start children at 3 years old; still others will take them from infancy up through kindergarten. It is important to be aware of whether there is an actual program for your child or whether they are just stuck in a play yard and kept alive. A true Montessori school will have works and activities for every age group they accept. A Second Home Next, take note of how the facility looks. Is it clean? Is it cheerful? Does it feel like a place where children would be happy? Ideally, it will feel like a second home. Everything should be clean. If you see goo and residue on the works, chances are the staff isn't keeping it as clean as it should be. A dirty preschool is a dangerous place for small children, especially infants. If it doesn't smell and look like a place you would want to spend your day, don't waste your time or money! A Balanced Education Of course, no Montessori preschool is complete without the renowned Montessori works. While not every Montessori classroom will have all of the Montessori works, they should have a comprehensive collection that represents every one of the Montessori areas: practical life, sensorial, math, and language. If a classroom lacks works in any one of these areas, your child will be getting in imbalanced, partial education. Some works you may want to look around the room for include the pink tower, dish washing, phonogram cards, and the red and blue rods. The more you know about the Montessori works and what they teach your child, the better equipped you will be to judge the quality of the Montessori school you are considering. Innovative Programs and Practices Everyone knows that one of the perks of living in California is that you have great weather. A great and innovative Montessori preschool in Laguna Hills will take advantage of that weather and come up with outdoor works for your children to participate in. Some great examples of outdoor works include music gardens, outdoor art studios, and outdoor science labs. The fresh air and sunlight will increase your children's health and happiness and works closely related to nature will help them become astute observers of their environment!
