5 Ways to Step Up Your Next Corporate Event

Business

Whether you’re hosting an annual conference or planning a small executive meeting, you want your event to be enjoyable and engaging for your attendees. Business events can easily feel dull and uncomfortable. To avoid this, try these 5 tips for improving your next corporate event:

Film It

In order to make your event memorable, you need to document it. One of the most popular ways of doing this is by filming it. Whether you decide to record the main speakers, get footage of the bustle of networking events, or film a special award dinner, the material works great for marketing future events or for creating hype around your services. If you don’t know much about film, hire a company that specializes in video event production in Houston. Their team can record the entire event while you take care of running it. Once the event is over, you can use the footage to create short marketing videos or to make digital copies for your attendees to review and remember.

Add Personal Details

If you want your event to really stand out from the rest, personalize it. Provide unique nametags or specialized goodie bags to show your guests that they’re important to you and to this event. When guests see their names in front of seats at a luncheon or on conference keychains, they will feel special and unique among the large group of attendees. These small details are what make events memorable, and the personalized merchandise you provide works as a great marketing tool long after the event is over.

Create an Event Page

To easily market your event, create a new website or a page on your current website to host information on event details. Include photos and bios of presenters, an event itinerary, and information about your company. If attendees need to register, create an online registration form. This page should contain everything your attendees and potential attendees need to know in order to participate in your event. It should also contain shareable information for attendees to spread on social media with friends and colleagues.

Use Audience Participation

To better engage your audience, bring them right up on stage with you or the presenter. Invite audience members to contribute with their own opinions and questions, and allow them to stand up and participate in the ongoing activities. It can be dull to watch one person present for an entire event or conference. Mix it up by asking your attendees to work in groups or join in the fun up front. You’ll find that the attendees are more attentive and willing to participate as you actively seek their participation.

Provide Time to Mingle

Creating an environment that’s conducive to networking is valuable for both you and your attendees. As your attendees make important professional connections, they’ll receive more value from your event or conference, and they’ll be more likely to recommend it to friends and fellow professionals. The simplest way to provide a networking environment is to host a happy hour. This gives attendees time to mingle and exchange information. For a more intimate networking experience, you may want to separate attendees into more personalized groups based on their interests or areas of expertise. This can provide more relevant connections and easy conversation.

It doesn’t matter if your event is big or small, there are simple ways you can make it memorable for those who attend. Start by marketing the event with a web page or hire a specialist in video event production in Houston to create a highlight video to send to attendees. These small details will quickly add up and help make your conference or meeting a success.
