Lions and Tigers and Sunshine, Oh My!

Business
Whether you’re coming into the Tampa Bay area for business or pleasure, you’re sure to enjoy the weather any time of the year, where the average high temperatures range from the 70s to the 90s and the nights typically see temperatures in the low 50s to the mid-70s. One thing you’ll rarely see is the white stuff falling from the skies. In fact, the last occurrence happened nearly 40 years ago when all of .2 of an inch of measurable snow was recorded in the city of Tampa. Getting to the Tampa Bay area to enjoy this climate couldn’t be easier, given that there are three international airports in the region and all are serviced by town car limos in Tampa. So regardless if your plans call for a short stay or an extended visit, getting in and out of Tampa won’t be a concern.

What should be your concern, however, is to enjoy everything that the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater area has to offer, but especially the city of Tampa itself, which is the 3rd largest city in Florida just behind Jacksonville and Miami. With over 350,000 people, you can be sure that the city has a vibrant downtown district with a surfeit of activities going on year-round, which is especially attractive for those coming to Tampa on business at the Tampa Convention Center. The Center is conveniently located just off Tampa’s downtown center and along the Hillsborough River and its spectacular Riverwalk. Exhibitors and attendees alike will love the convenience of the adjacent first-class hotels along the walk as well as all the dining and shopping options. Yet if you’re looking for more to do, then the attractions of Tampa’s vibrant downtown await you.

The activities staged in downtown Tampa alone are worth the visit and depending on when you visit, you’re sure to stumble upon any one of these events. Just during the first three months of the year, there’s a music festival, arts festival, film festival, a fringe festival that encompasses all three, and finally a giant block party featuring food, drinks, and entertainment—among other events. The Gasparilla Music festival features musical performances from a variety of genres and encompasses several stages along with food served from the area’s top restaurants. Since 1970, the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts has been transforming downtown Tampa into a huge outdoor attraction where hundreds of the world’s preeminent artists gather to showcase their works. The Gasparilla International Film Festival hosts thousands of filmmakers, producers, and film buffs, featuring numerous world and U.S. premieres of film screenings.

Of course, these events are only the tip of the entertainment iceberg and things to do for visitors to the city of Tampa. Shops, restaurants, beaches, and plenty of attractions await business travelers and vacationers all around the Tampa Bay area. Speaking of attractions, the ever popular Busch Gardens, with its abundance of wild animals to see, is located in the heart of Tampa, as is the Florida Aquarium with its aquatic variety of creatures to visit and exhibits and shows to see. One attraction that doesn’t get a lot of attention is the city’s Lowry Park Zoo, which has a collection of more than 1,200 animals and exhibits one of the most extensive assortments of endangered Florida wildlife to be found anywhere. Its emphasis on endangered species focuses on those from climates similar to the Tampa Bay region, and thus showcases animals from Asia, Africa, and Australia as well as those indigenous to Florida.

All of these attractions, as well as the Riverwalk and downtown Tampa, are easily reached by town car limo in Tampa from any one of the area's three airports. There is no doubt that the city offers everyone an experience not to be forgotten.
