Vehicle Advertising: Think Before You Wrap

From small to large businesses, vehicle marketing is a great way to getting an edge over others. Many big companies spend signficantly in traditional marketing and advertising, but for small companies to get slots in television, radio or even internet marketing can often be too expensive. The vehicle wrapping is not just promotion of businesses but also an effective tool to establish brand identity.

Branding the Vehicle

Since vehicle advertising is a moving billboard, it must be kept simple. The viewer must understand the advertising message quickly. For example, use wording and graphics that go in line with the company’s standards.

Graphic designs are generally done by fleet managers who hire professional graphic designers to do the job. Fleet managers are responsible for the graphics that are installed on their vehicles, which in turn benefit their vehicles through surface protection. The graphic design concept, logo placement (if any), copy writing and all those things are generally done by the advertisers.

• Vehicle wraps can be used for both long-term and short-term advertising reasons. There is flexibility in this type of marketing promotion as the design can be easily updated or replaced.

• Vehicle wrapping can dramatically increase awareness among locas. So, this form of marketing technique is best suitable for niche products or products that are more confined to local markets. You can attract a lot of attention when the wrapped vehicle is driving around town on a daily basis. These vehicles are also great way to draw attention in cultural events, colleges, conventions and other places.

• Custom vehicle wrapping can also unify different promotions of the same product. You can incorporate all branding elements into one marketing channel easily.

Who can use Vehicle Wrap marketing?

Since vehicle wrap is a versatile promotion tool, it can be used for variety of purposes. It is best for small or local businesses that could easily integrate in small to large size vehicles. For large businesses, vehicle wraps might not be as effective unless leveraged across an interstate fleet. In the recent years local newspaper ads, and yellow pages advertising have seen a decline in growth of revenue and low cost-per-impression.

• Local businesses such as restaurants, salons, and shops can be easily recognized on well-promoted vehicles.

• Many retail shops such as clothing retailers, organic shops, florists, pet shops are promoted on vehicle advertising.

• Many local consultants, real estate companies and other service companies find it profitable to advertise on vehicles.

• Healthcare clinics, hospitals, and private medical practitioners can promote their business.
