Vacationing in Siesta Key Is More Than a Sandy Affair! |

Vacationing in the Sunshine State of Florida often means spending most of the time at any of the world-class beaches the state has to offer, but none as spectacular as those along the Gulf Coast in the Sarasota area. One of the best places in this region to enjoy the glistening white sands is certainly Siesta Key, and getting there from the Sarasota-Bradenton International airport couldn’t be easier than with a Siesta Key limo service. Siesta Key Originally known as Clam Island, Siesta Key was an uninhabited barrier island off the coast of Sarasota until the early 20th century, when most of its residents were fishermen and their families and those who had planted a few orange groves. Today, Siesta Key is anything but a sleepy little fishing village, but what hasn’t changed is the weather, where the average temperature ranges in the 80s during the summer months and in the 60s and 70s the rest of the year, along with 251 days of sunshine. Beaches and More Though sitting on the beach and taking in the sun is a popular pastime for tourists and residents alike, there’s so much more to do in Siesta Key. In addition to enjoying the miles of white sand beaches, one can partake in a variety of water sports from sailing, kayaking, parasailing, water skiing, fishing, and, of course, dolphin and whale watching. After an active day, there are a number of wonderful spas in the area where one can unwind and relax before heading out to dinner at any of Siesta Key’s fine restaurants, followed by an evening at a bar or club. With so many attractions in Siesta Key, it’s unlikely that one would run out of things to do. Given that there are three international airports in the region, all of which are conveniently reached by a Siesta Key limo service, getting to Siesta Key couldn’t be easier. Enjoying all that the area has to offer while vacationing here is another matter entirely.
