Before you go shopping for your next decorating project, check out some of the latest trends for Atlanta furniture and interior design from the experts. A Little Less Minimalism The minimalist movement has been very popular in modern interior design for the last few years. It excels in creating the feeling of space where there is none. Apartment renters know this struggle all too well. However, this style can become borderline utilitarian in form and function if you are not careful. This is where a perfectly placed conversation piece, painting, or sculpture can break up the monotony and add that personal touch. Creamy Neutrals Ivory, eggshell, and bone! Oh my! Creams are making a comeback this year, taking bold color palettes down a few notches. These colors pair well with warm brown, leather sofas and hardwood floors. They create very inviting living rooms and a sense of calm when coupled with soft blue and red accents. For Americana and farmhouse design styles, creams are the way to go. Formal Dining Formal dining rooms are back as families move away from media rooms and man-caves. In the past, dining spaces were converted to make room for entertainment hubs. More and more families, however, are looking for ways to bring the traditional family meal back, minus the cell phones. Natural, unfinished wood is a popular choice for dining room tables right now, coupled with benches that will fit the whole family and a few friends as well. Marble Must-haves It doesn’t matter what it is, so long as it’s marble. This natural stone is the material of choice for accents and conversation pieces. Candle holders, coffee tables, and countertops can all be customized from a plethora of unique shades and designs that marble has to offer and they are guaranteed to last a lifetime. These are just a few of the latest trends in the Atlanta furniture industry. For more, check out a showroom near you.
