The first step in movie review writing is creating enough time to watch the selected movie. Watch the movie keenly without disturbances and try as much as possible to absorb more information from the movie. Some movies are too long, therefore is good to write the important details found in the movie as one can easily forget some details. Reviewers are supposed to give their own opinions of the movie. The reviewer is to write the elements of the movie watched whether the movie was interesting or not. However, it is advisable for a reviewer to write impartial details, to allow readers to come up with their own opinions. Write down the title of the film, director’s name, names of the lead actors and the genre. When writing a movie review, it is necessary to consider the type of readers. For instance, a movie review for children is very different with that of adults. Give a clear outline of the movie review without giving essential details. Consider the directions and the cinematography used by the director to explain the events. Explain the characters of each actor in the movie. After watching the movie, sit in a separate room and compose the review using all information gathered. Create an original thesis which is based on the analysis. Follow the thesis with a precise plot summary to give a reader an idea what the movie review is all about. Write a detailed interesting summary of the movie that supports the thesis. Use plenty of examples to back up the review. Write a conclusion of the movie review. Conclusion part should be interesting. Edit the written movie review to make sure it is free from any grammatical and spelling errors.
