Subclass 836 is a type of visa for somebody in Australia who needs care for relative living in Australia with a permanent medical condition or somebody who want to aid the relative in providing care to the family member with a permanent health condition. For you to be eligible for subclass 836, you must be fully willing to give any real or continued care for your relative. For your relative to be eligible for subclass 836, the relative must have been assessed by the designated health service provider, the relative should not get care from another source in Australia and the relative must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or be eligible New Zealand citizen. You and the family member must meet the health requirements and characters. You can apply for subclass 836 if your relative who is in need of care is a resident or settles in Australia. The relative must be your partner, niece, nephew, uncle, aunt, parent, sister, brother or your child. You and your relative who needs care must live in the same house. Both of you must meet the medical requirements which are only valid for 12 months. When applying for subclass 836, you must be ready to give police certificate from the country you have lived for at least 12 months. These police certificate requirements apply to you and you're relative listed in the application form and who have attained an age of 16 years whether they are migrating or not. If you have attained an age of 18 years and above you are required to sign Australian Values Statement, this is to confirm that you are to respect Australian way of life and Australian laws. This Australian Values Statement is included in the application form. Before applying for subclass 836, make sure that you do not have any outstanding balance of the Australian government. Subclass 836 is a permanent visa.
