INDIA'S AYURVEDIC SECRET TO PREVENT VIRAL INFECTION The manufacturers of N95 masks have a tsunami of orders to rush to USA, Italy, Spain and other rich western nations. However can these masks be really afforded by 3 billion plus people in impoverished countries where most live or rather survive from day to day on hand to mouth subsistence? The top quality N95 masks retail in India for rupees 250 to 300. A family of 5 members would need to spend rupees 1250 to 1500 to get one mask for each member. This is rather a cruel joke upon the poor considering that the sum is higher than their entire monthly savings if any. It is here that India's wonder gift can come in handy for the poor folks worldwide. Owing to massive media coverage and abundant medical guidance, almost everyone now appreciates the efficacy of the humble soap in combating Corona Virus( COVID-19) with frequent hand wash. The COVID 19 Virus itself is a nano-particle in which the weakest link is the lipid (fatty) bilayer. The fatty acids of the soap dissolve the membrane of Virus so that it is rendered inactive or inert. What if it were possible to keep a soap like solution within our nostrils for several hours so that the inhaled viruses get automatically deactivated? Unfortunately with soap it is not feasible as soapy matter not only irritates the nasal passage but has harmful effects if it goes further within the respiratory tract. It is medically proven to have anti oxidant, anti histamine, anti inflammatory, anti allergic, anti microbial and health restorative properties. And it costs so little- the poorest people all over the world can afford it. Here is how to employ Mother Nature's protective shield of Castor Oil to safeguard against infections: STEPS
1.) Take 1/2 to 1 teaspoon full of Castor Oil.
2.) Heat it on a slow flame for about 5-12 seconds to a lukewarm/warm level. Keep the spoon some inches above the flame to avoid over heating.
3.) Once the Castor Oil is Luke-warm/warm immerse the upper part of your smallest finger/pinky finger ( last finger which is the thinnest) in Castor Oil and gently rotate it upon the spoon so that it is covered on all sides including its tip by the sticky layer of Castor Oil.
4.) Insert the wet finger in the right nostril and gently push it inside as far as it can go comfortably. Then gently rotate the finger inside the nostril once clockwise and the once anti-clockwise. While full rotation is not recommended, rotate it within comfortable limits (both clockwise and anti-clockwise once). This will transfer the Castor Oil from finger to all the inner surface of right nostril.
5.) Again re-submerge the upper part of same finger in the Castor Oil as outlined above and repeat the steps in the left nostril. If after completion, you still have some warm Castor Oil left in the spoon, you can repeat steps 4 and 5 again. A thin Castor Oil film will remain stuck on the nasal surface for several hours acting as Mother Nature's shield not only against viruses but against pollution, allergic attacks, dust particles, fumes, bacterial infection, etc. Not only does Castor Oil film confer a protective shield but its unique lubricative properties eases the inner respiratory passage while its anti-inflammatory nature reduces respiratory inflammation caused by pollutants and infections. Notes: 1.) Ensure the pinky finger nail is not long but trimmed. 2.) As per Ayurveda, organic crude unprocessed Castor Oil is best for usage. But since this is not always easy to procure, one may use medicinal grade Castor Oil.
