Legionella water management programs identify hazardous conditions and include taking steps to minimize the growth and spread of Legionella in building water systems. Having a water management program is now an industry standard for large buildings in the United States. In more time to come and in future too, it is thought this should and will be a great deal important across the world on the whole. As an employer, or person in control of premises, you must appoint someone competent to help you meet your health and safety duties and in more recent times, this is now very much applicable too for Legionnaires' disease and everything that surrounds this. The primary method used to control the risk from Legionella is water temperature control. Water services should be operated at temperatures that are correct and also very much legal also. This is key no end. Legionellosis is the collective name given to the pneumonia-like illness caused by legionella bacteria. This includes the most serious legionnaires' disease. Legionella management has become a new industry created in time with a role of looking to be able to combat all of this. Some water systems in buildings have a higher risk for Legionella growth and spread than others. Legionella water management programs are now an industry need and requirement. Whether it's the initial Legionella Risk Assessment or a robust Legionella Management programme implemented by competent contractors you need or software and devices for it, this is for sure a big big market and it is big business also. Water management documentation is a key element of successful Legionella management and forms a specific part of the key and wider overall management to and of the presence of legionella. Legionella bacteria are the causative agents for two diseases that are known collectively as legionellosis – Legionnaires' disease, a potentially fatal form of this. Offshore water and legionella management forms an integral part of the health and safety strategies of businesses across a wide variety of industries and in time to come this will and should only get and become every more important.
