5. The problem is not your service or product
December 03, 2017
It’s how you talk about it.
It isn’t that your product doesn’t work, you aren’t that good, or your service doesn't provide value. You aren’t clear about how you help, why you are different, or what problem you solve. And if you aren’t clear then any message you put out into the ether will also not be clear. Where does that leave you?
Wondering what is wrong, or blaming your website/your coach/the program you bought/you for being wrong about you. There are two things you need to get clear on:
Who needs what you got What they want to know
Until you know who needs you... (read more)

February 09, 2017
I recently got the opportunity to interview Kenny Day, Oklahoma Baptist University’s Marketing Communications Coordinator. He gave me some important insight into what goes into marketing for our university. First, Kenny told me about how the company was set up. 10. Trump’s ‘Drain the Swamp’ Pledge Complicates Administration Hiring
November 16, 2016
President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign promise to “drain the swamp” of Washington might make it difficult for him to fill all the jobs in his administration.
Trump’s ethics plan would ban all executive-branch officials from lobbying for five years after leaving their government jobs — one of several policies aimed at curbing the influence of lobbyists. His campaign released his plan about three weeks before Election Day, and “drain the swamp” quickly became a favorite rallying cry and...... (read more)

14. How business is often done in China
September 02, 2016
Confucian ethics, the most quintessential and fundamental thought system governing Chinese culture for thousands of years, posed great impact on the economy, politics and culture of China. Without doubt, Confucianism has formed a strong bond with traditional Chinese business culture since a long time ago.
The idea of profits in Confucianism is a double-edge sword. On the one hand, the disciplines of Confucius have clearly stated that it was immoral for those of senior positions to indulge on profits for their own. On the other hand, the risk-taking commercial activities of the merchants s... (read more)

16. The great truth about SEO
June 29, 2016
I frequent many SEO and Web Marketing forums on a daily basis and every so often there is a debate about the SEO industry and ethics. After being involved in a number of these debates, it has become really obvious that the main problems are the facts that no two SEO companies are alike and there is no unified methodology. It's very hard to make statements about the industry as a whole because it's debatable what exactly 'SEO' is. Mix in the fact that most SEO companies keep their methodology and campaign strategies secret and we have a situation where every company is totally different with ve... (read more)

June 09, 2016
WASHINGTON— Much as they did at the onset of the Atomic Age, scientists are now grappling with the ethics of a technological advancement — in this case, our ability to manipulate the genetic code.
And they warn that civilization is rapidly approaching the point where it will have to decide what to do with its newly acquired power to change the genetic structure of living things.
The newest conversation has to do with an enhanced inheritance system known as the “gene drive,” a self-replicating bit of genetic code that scientists could use to pass on created genet... (read more)

Roy Moore, chief justice of the Alabama state Supreme Court, was suspended for his efforts to block same-sex marriage, counter to a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that effectively legalized same-sex marriage nationwide in 2015.
A state judicial oversight commission filed ethics charges against Moore Friday, saying the controversial judge abused the power of his office. The accusations could lead to his removal from office.
The charges stem from an administrative order Moore issued early this year to probate judges, telling them to follow Alabama law banning same-sex marriage. This came aft... (read more)
