1. The 7 Wonders of the Miniature World
February 04, 2016

When planting a miniature fairy garden, I desire a soothing feeling that happens when ground covers are used as lawns. The look of a lawn will unify the miniscape. Here are my top ground covers that work well for lawns or as I call them, "The 7 Wonders of the Miniature World." Leptinella squalida, Fairy Fern This ground cover is one of my favorites. The reason it is one of my favorites is its feathery and fern-like foliage that is soft green and fresh looking. I have found that using grass, lawn or ground cover will create that effect perfectly. This is especially important because some of us are prone to go a bit overboard and add way too many small accessories to our theme gardens... (read more)
