1. meditation
February 06, 2013
The other working day I was carrying out the "move twelve" lecture in my drug therapy facility and was pondering the "Possessing had a non secular awakening" portion of move twelve. What is that spiritual awakening that it is speaking about? How do you get it? What occurs when you do? What does it search like?So the following working day I asked the individual team what that was and they came up with so a lot of responses, all legitimate, but diverse far too. The twelve steps are designed to get you to have that experience so looking at the past eleven methods may well aid us to see how to get... (read more)

2. How to Attain Nonduality & Oneness in Meditation
May 10, 2012
If you are looking to attain nonduality and oneness, you first have to come face to face with your experience of duality, your experience of conflict. If you are lucky enough in meditation, you will come to the point where you cannot take it anymore. You will come right up against your resistance to this moment and will feel that you have to get up, you have to distract yourself from this moment. Meditation will become too uncomfortable. If you don't stand up and run to the kitchen to eat a cookie, you will scratch your nose. If you do not scratch your nose, you will wiggle around ... (read more)

3. The Great and Godly Game of Hide and Seek
April 02, 2012
Why is it we all seem to struggle so? Why so much dissatisfaction? We never seem quite satisfied with who we are, with what life brings, with where we are in ourselves. It’s almost as if, were we satisfied, we fear there’d be no more reason for us to live; as if the Creator might descend on some big burst of light and pluck us straight away: “This one’s done! Beam him up, Scotty.” I’ve had that bizarre fear myself, the fear that if I allow myself to feel satisfied, happy even, well then, the (presupposed) fall will be so much worse. Safer to stay slightly under, slightly under-fulf... (read more)

4. The Nonduality of Past, Present, and Future: The Power of Here and Now
February 29, 2012
In life, the nonduality plays an important role - we experience two main emotions: pleasure and pain. They come and go and are a normal part of the human experience. Naturally, our minds try to maintain the good and push away the bad. A kind of tug-of-war ensues where we say, “I want this,” or, “I don’t want that.” This creates the struggles we face in our lives.
The Mind Plays Tricks upon Us
The mind tries to hold onto pleasurable events and push away or control painful events. It tries to dominate our experiences by categorizing, separating, and dividing events. This causes su... (read more)

5. Discover the "I Am": Embrace the Infinite Possibility of Spiritual Enlightenment & Nonduality
February 02, 2012
To gain spiritual awareness and to experience awakening, we need to unlearn what we know, or think we know. We must let go of every piece of knowledge and just be. In the East, this is called “neti neti,” meaning, “not this, not that.” In the West, we refer to this concept as “via negative,” or, “a way of nothingness.”
We should view our lives as a series of events without getting attached to anything. We should experience these passing events, but not lay claim on them or react by saying, “This is mine,” or, “This is who I am.”
Treat Life as a Movie
When watching a movie, you... (read more)

7. What Happens During Spiritual Enlightenment: You Are the Ocean, Not the Lotus Flower
January 14, 2012
As we journey toward the path of enlightenment, what can we expect to happen in our lives? What can we expect to happen inside of us? In truth, there is nothing that we must do. Life just unfolds and we are merely the witness to this unfolding.
How do we live our lives if we’re seeking the path of awakening, in order to truly be awakened to who we are and to live an enlightened life? How are we to live our lives if we aren’t the doers of the living but merely the witness to this doing?
Embrace the Oneness of the Universe

8. Empower Yourself With the Here and Now: End Your Mental Suffering with Spiritual Enlightenment
January 04, 2012
Life is in constant flux: people and jobs come and go, we learn new things while forgetting the old, and different events take place. Our lives and views change. A seventeen-year-old boy might believe popularity is of crucial importance, whereas a sixty-seven-year-old man might believe that having a connection with God is what matters most. Nothing stays the same. The only thing we know for sure is that we are, right now. It’s All A Dream It’s a possibility that what we are experiencing right now might not even be real. Even Hollywood has caught on; many movies such as The Matrix e... (read more)

9. What Can Help Me Achieve Spiritual Enlightenment?
December 20, 2011
Begin your journey with the right tools
When it comes to living in the moment and being more enlightened, you may have some questions. You might ask, “Dr. Puff, how do I reach that point? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process of waking up and of living a life filled with the present?”
Enlightenment is beyond our concepts, so merely attempting to apply our concepts to it causes its secret to remain hidden. It’s similar to that Chinese puzzle where you put a finger in one end and another in the other end, and then you pull. Merely the act of pulling makes you stay stuck.... (read more)

10. The Most Powerful Mantra for Spiritual Enlightenment: Waking Up to Nonduality
December 18, 2011
Who we are is very simple. We are the supreme reality. Everything comes from this and is a reflection of this. We are like the sun and the lives that we’re experiencing right now are like the dewdrops that are reflecting the light. Another way to look at it is to see life as a dream. We are dreaming this life; we are the dreamer of our lives. Life is really just an extended dream and we are the dreamer, which is the supreme reality.
Life is a Lucid Dream
Who we are is pure being-ness. We can experience this being-ness by merely witnessing all that happens to us. We can simply be rig... (read more)

11. The Paradoxical World of Spiritual Enlightenment
December 12, 2011
We Are Nothing, We Are Everything
When we wake up to who we are, we stop identifying with our egoic selves because we realize they are impermanent. Only that which is permanent can be who we truly are. We aren’t our bodies, we aren’t our memories, we aren’t our thoughts, and we aren’t our feelings. We aren’t any of these things, so we stop identifying with them. When we wake up to the fact that life is an extended dream, a sense of calm or a feeling that “all is well” sets in.
We cease to identity with our lives, thoughts, and feelings; we witness them, but we don’t engage with t... (read more)

13. Total Recall of Who We Are: Stop Thinking and Start Being
December 03, 2011
There is a movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger called Total Recall. A large part of the movie revolves around Arnold’s character discovering who he really is. We all want to know who we really are. Unless we settle into thinking, “Well, this is my life and I’m not going to think about it,” we keep searching until we find the answers.
Who Are We Really?
When we’re born into this world, we quickly take on many different identities and continue to do so as we move through life. But how can we possibly be these things if they’re always changing? Can we truly be something that tomorrow... (read more)

14. What Shakespeare Can Teach Us about Enlightenment
December 02, 2011
All the World’s a Stage
When I was an undergraduate many years ago, my deep admiration for the works of William Shakespeare first blossomed. My passion for his plays has been an integral part of my life, and his writings have taught me many important things.
Shakespeare: An Enlightened Being
During my undergraduate years, I had the privilege of taking a Shakespearean class and was also able to travel through Europe. I vividly remember going to Stratford-upon-Avon and watching a Shakespeare play, As You Like It. The words, “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women me... (read more)

15. Spiritual Enlightenment - To Soar your Spirits High
September 19, 2011
The path to enlightenment imparts sage insights regarding one’s true self by quieting all personal delusions and false thoughts. This path brings about the awakening of a free soul, a soul which is liberated from all mundane, worldly shackles and is at peace and in perfect communion with the inner self. No matter how hard one attempts to put it into words, the meaning of enlightenment is ultimately incomprehensible. Enlightenment awakening is not an experience that can be evoked upon command, but rather an experience that must be lived first-hand, individually.
Nowadays, enlightenment ... (read more)

December 08, 2008
You have probably already heard all of the Spiritual Enlightenment sayings like "Consciousness is all there is," And "Advaita means 'not two,'"
And although all of these things are true, the words themselves filed away as knowledge, don't get you any closer to Spiritual Enlightenment.
