6. High Pressure Blowers In Series and In Parallel
October 24, 2013
AB Blower Co. supply high pressure blowers-in-series systems to achieve static pressure, previously unachievable by single stage centrifugal blowers.
Series and parallel connected blower installations are often used to meet performance ranges beyond normal single stage blower capacities. For systems that require high ststic pressure, and especially high pressure TOGETHER with high temperature (where standard multi stage, positive displacement, screw, or regenerative type blowers can not be used) series of single stage centrifugal blowers can be used. Many times additional blower in the sy... (read more)

7. High Pressure Side Channel Blower
October 24, 2013
Regenerative side-channel blowers are ideal for moving large volumes of air at low pressures or vacuums. Unlike positive displacement compressors and vacuum pumps, they pressurize air through a nonpositive displacement method. Typical regenerative blower applications include sewage aeration, vacuum lifting, vacuum packaging, pneumatic conveying, concrete aeration, pond aeration, vacuum tables, drying, dust/smoke removal, air sparging, and chip removal.
Of all air handling equipment, regenerative blowers are probably the least understood. However, when system parameters fall within their r... (read more)

8. High Pressure Blowers In Series System
October 23, 2013
Parallel and series connected blower installations are often used to meet performance ranges beyond normal single stage blower capacities. For systems that require high ststic pressure, and especially high pressure TOGETHER with high temperature (where standard multi stage, positive displacement, screw, or regenerative type blowers can not be used) series of single stage centrifugal blowers can be used. Many times additional blower in the system can be advantageous. For instance, where two blowers are operating in series and one breaks down, the other may be able to "limp" the system along whi... 9. High Pressure Regenerative Blower
October 09, 2013
High pressure channel blowers are oilless and have no complicated intake / exhaust valving. Most can be mounted in any plane and, with dynamically balanced impellers, generate little vibration. Because they are nonpositive displacement compressor/vacuum pumps, they discharge air that is clean and pulsation free, which are important considerations for today's plant instruments and controls.
Regenerative blowers operate as a multistaged compressors. Each blade-to-blade regeneration stage results in a slight pressure increase. Total pressure rise from air entry to discharge yields a continuo... (read more)

10. Understanding the Roots Blower
August 19, 2013
In many industries you may have heard the term roots blower and have been told how important it is and how efficient and effective it is. While you probably have heard the term, you may not know exactly what it is or how it works. This type of blower has been around for ages and continues to be a great tool in many industries.
A roots blower, referred to in some areas as just a blower, is a piece of air equipment that is used to create constant air compression. The difference between this type of blower and others is that this one features a positive displacement operation that works t... (read more)
