As a dedicated spiritual seeker, I have a long history of exploration into the obscure corners of both the mind. Although i have traveled around the world four times, spending several months living in an austere yoga ashram in northern India, I have found that the real journey happens within. It all started when i was a teenager and i had a deep interest in philosophy, and asking the deeper questions in life. One question in specific has really caught my interest and has been propelling me into the realms of contemplative thought for almost two decades. The most poignant question to me is 'what is consciousness'? We know a great deal about energy, we can quantify it and understand it's relationships; but, we know so little about the absolute nature of thought, and the ultimate level of reality as dictated by one's unique individual perspective. Now, many scientist are forced to accept the fact that consciousness is to energy what energy is to matter, and the mere act of perceiving an experiment effects the given results. The mind is the final frontier, and we live in an exciting time where science is beginning to piece together these mystical truths, proving that which the ancient spiritual saints and meditation masters have been suggesting to us for countless millenniums. As a practioner of yoga and several forms of yogic and Buddhist meditation techniques, i take great pleasure in engaging in the poetry of portraying the silent truths of the spirit into the language of the intellect, to convey the deeper concepts of spiritual awakening.
