Author Comment / Biography: Hi there! My name is Peng and I would like to welcome you to My Access Australia.
I graduated from The University of Sydney with a double degree in Economics and Law. After working a few years in a firm that practised in various areas of law, I eventually found myself in an international law firm that specialised in migration law. After going through my firm’s graduate program, I became a registered migration agent.
I started this site to provide you with practical advice, information and guidance which should assist you with preparing and lodging your own Australian visa application. I also intend to cover a number of topics which are directly related to Australian migration law and visas such as whether you are eligible to apply for work rights while holding a bridging visa.
On this site, you will find a mixture of advice and information which cover a wide range of issues that visa applicants face. Some of the information will relate to technical aspects of Australia migration law such as the consequences of being barred from making a visa application due to Section 48 of the Migration Act. I will also be covering basic topics such as checking your own visa validity period and the conditions that apply to your visa through DIAC’s website. Where possible, I will try to clearly segment and categorise the information provided so that you can easily find the information and advice that is relevant to your application and individual circumstances.
Whether you are a visa applicant, an organisation that has dealings with foreign national workers or just someone with an interest in Australia migration law, I hope that you find the information on this site to be useful. I encourage you to leave comments, suggestions and questions. I will try my best to answer any questions that I receive. Of course, any feedback and suggestions that you can provide would also be greatly appreciated.
If you do prepare and lodge your own application, I hope that I have made the process a bit easier through the information provided on this site. I also wish you the best of luck with your application!
