It's no big secret that we all need money to survive in this crazy world. While some of us are born with it, the majority of us have to seek out business ventures and make our own capital. On the bright side, this is easier now than it's ever been before. We currently reside in a world of endless possibilities. Much of this is related to the World-Wide-Web. Computers and cyberspace have opened so many doors. It's certainly reasonable to assume you can make a hefty income online. Countless others, not so different from yourself, do it everyday. Our modern world is loaded with money making id... (read more)

The American Political Extreme
December 28, 2007
|
(309 votes)
When speaking in terms of the political extreme we must first define what is meant by “extreme.” Most scholars will agree that political extremism can be defined as a political philosophy or ideology of a character and kind that is farthest removed from the ordinary or average. It is the farthest from the center, outermost or endmost. It is going or doing the utmost to very great lengths to the political left or right in action, habit, or opinion. With this in mind it is fair to say that the body politic of the Untied States has largely shifted to two extremes – liberal and conservative, as de... (read more)

Weight Loss Tips - Low Fat & Fat Free Foods Will Get You Nowhere
April 09, 2008
|
(747 votes)
If you walk down the aisle of any grocery store you'll see dozens "low fat" and "fat free" food items nearly everywhere you look. The whole world has gone "low fat" crazy -- and most people think that if they just begin eating low fat foods then their bodies will have less fat too. Sounds logical right? Wrong. You see, the problem with this type of thinking is that there is no "direct" relationship between fat calories eaten and fat tissue on a person's body. The truth is that your body can convert ANY type of calorie to fat tissue, not just fat calories... (read more)

Educational Leadrship Crisis
October 27, 2007

(311 votes)
I recently had the opportunity to participate in an interactive professional development seminar. The guest speaker, Sir Ken Robinson, a distinguished scholar and world renowned expert on creativity and innovation challenged educators and the business community in Killeen, Texas and the Killeen Independent School District to take a look at the educational techniques in a rapidly evolving society. Without doubt, Sir Ken Robinson is a gifted speaker and a consummate subject matter expert in his field. He was able to relate hard facts about the immense need for education reform while adding an ... (read more)

The Gay Morality Debate
April 08, 2007

(350 votes)
Recently homosexual activists called for Marine General Peter Pace to be forced out of the service because he called sex between two homosexuals immoral. General Pace specifically said, “I believe homosexual acts between two individuals are immoral and that we should not condone immoral acts. I do not believe the United States is well served by a policy that says it is OK to be immoral in any way.” The general went on to explain, “I would not want acceptance of overt homosexual behavior to be our policy, just like I would not want it to be our policy that if we were to find out that so-and-s... The 2008 Voter Dilemma
February 04, 2008
|
(268 votes)
The American voter will face a moral dilemma in the 2008 election year. At a time of unparalleled mortgage foreclosures, fluctuating markets at home and abroad, exorbitant health care costs, low wages with few or no fringe benefits, the perpetual transferring of jobs by American corporations to foreign shores for cheap foreign labor, rampant inflation, especially on such essentials as food and energy, the decreasing value of pay checks and pension checks, a collapsing dollar currency, an administration that has largely failed disabled veterans, retired soldiers and their widowed spouses, the h... "The sacrment of charity, the Holy Eucharist is the gift that Jesus Christ makes of himslef, thus revealing to us God's infinate love for every man and woman. This wonderous sacremant makes manfest that 'greater' love which led him to 'lay down his life for his frineds' (Jn 15:13). Jesus did indeed love them 'to the end' (Jn 13:1). In those words the Evangelist introduces Christ's act of immense humility: before dying for us on the Cross, he tied a towel around himslef and washed the feet of his disciples. In the same way, Jesus continues, in this sacrement of the Eucharist, to love us '... (read more)

CHANGES - Are you ready?

Think and you shall become – a powerful ability of each individual. We are the master of our Life. Although we believe of having our Creator who directs our life, still we, the human beings are the author of our own life and the Engineer and Architect of our destiny. All that we have or what we are right now is what we have thought to be. We need to realize that nothing ever exists entirely alone. Everything we have thought or have done has its own consequences. Our thoughts are in relation to everything around us. We attract what we think. How to maintain positive thoughts to attract good... (read more)

Should you hire a marketing agency for your small business?
October 02, 2007
|
(262 votes)
As small business owners, we all wish we could afford to hire the largest full service marketing agency in the world. Why? Well, because they represent the largest companies that are turning even larger profits. Naturally we want the highest return on our marketing investment if we are going to invest our already limited resources. However, many small business owners quickly realize that hiring an agency that is focused on larger clients is quite simply, unaffordable. Even more disappointing, many of those businesses who do invest their savings in these agencies find their budget drained quick... (read more)
