Dissertation writing is an assignment given to students who are at higher academic levels. The main purpose of dissertation writing is to show the skills in a certain area of study. When writing a dissertation, it is very important to carry out a detailed research. To earn a higher grade in the dissertation, good referencing and structuring are very important. Students become disappointed when it comes to explaining how to write a dissertation . The first step is choosing an appropriate topic. Choose a topic of interest and which is relevant to the instructions highlighted. Consult the supervisor for advice for more clarifications. Have a good plan when it comes to dissertation writing. Work out a clear timetable and stick to it during the writing process. Carry out research from various sources to acquire enough information. During the research process, it is good to write important information. Questionnaire and survey can also help in gathering information. The dissertation consists of title page, abstract, acknowledgments, table of contents, table of figures, introduction, main body, conclusion, bibliography, and appendices. Title page has the student’s name, tutor’s name, date of submission, course name, and the name of the institution. Table of contents consists of a list of chapters and sub-sections found in the entire paper together with their page numbers. Acknowledgement is a summary of appreciating all who assisted in one way or another during dissertation writing. The abstract is a summary of one paragraph and gives a brief description of what the paper entails. Introduction part is interesting to capture the reader’s attention. Make sure that the body part is well structured and well discussed. Table of figures has the list of all tables together with the subheadings found in the entire dissertation while the table of figures has all figures together with subheadings found in the entire paper. Summarize the entire dissertation in conclusion paragraph. List all the sources of information in bibliography pages. Format the dissertation using proper academic styles. Make sure that sentences are well punctuated.
