After over a 100 years, jazz, which grew from Louisiana ragtime, is now played and enjoyed around the world. The genre has evolved from the “big band” swing music of the 1920s and 1930s, to bebop during the 1940s, and onto modern day jazz-fusion, mixed with funk and R&B. What makes it so special, is the fact that all of its different styles still thrive today and command a loyal following of aficionados. |
