Data analysis is one of the most crucial processes when undertaking a research. It is a process where statistical, or logical techniques to have a description an illustration, and recap data that has been collected. There are different data analysis procedures that are used to get the most out of inductive references from data and having a distinction of the signal (that is the issue under investigation) from the noise (the fluctuations as a result of statistics) that is found in the data. In as much as data analysis is a procedure that is seen in qualitative research, in many times, it is an ongoing iterative process where there is continuous collection of data and the analysis is done at the same time. In most cases, researchers try to look for patterns in observations in the whole data that has been collected. The type of data analysis that will be adopted will depend on the qualitative approach that has been taken in the research. This will depend on whether the study is ethnography content analysis, field study, taking an oral history, biography, or unobtrusive research. It will also depend on the form of data that has been collected in the field. Some of the examples of data forms that can be used include field notes, audio tapes, videotape, or documents. One of the ways in which data integrity can be achieved is to ensure that there is accurate and appropriate analysis of the research findings. Data analyses that are not proper will distort scientific findings and thus will mislead readers that are not researchers. It will have a lot of ramifications for readers who are reading for general knowledge. Their thinking about the issue of research will be impaired. The public perception about research will also be affected. Integrity issues are relevant to non-statistical data also. Getting the best data analysts could be the start of the way to having the best and accurate data analysis.
