One of the things you need to consider when looking for a new bike is its size. There are so many things to be considered when buying a motorcycle. Finding a motorcycle that suits your preferences is a challenge already but aside from that, you must choose the right motorcycle size also. You have to make sure that the height and the size of the bike is just right for you. Finding the right size of motorcycle is the key to a safe and enjoyable ride. In order to fully enjoy your ride, you must be comfortable on top of your bike. So how can you determine the right motorcycle size for you? There are so many kinds of motorcycles out there. However, most of them may not have the right size for you. Therefore these are the things you need to do in order to find the right motorcycle size. 1. Ride the motorcycle. You will never determine if the size and height of the bike is right for you unless you try riding it. When browsing for a new bike, ask the dealer if you can try riding it. There are lots of motorcycle superstores and dealers out there. Some of them will let you ride the motorcycle to make sure you’re comfortable with the size and height of the bike. 2. Try to sit on the bike and see if you can put both feet firmly on the ground without leaning sideways. If you need to lean on either side in order to reach the ground, then the size of the bike is not right for you. 3. Make sure that you can control your motorcycle while in a resting position. If you need to lean forward in order to reach the control of the bike, then the size of the bike isn't right. If you can’t reach the ground with your foot on a resting position then you are prone to accidents. 4. If you need to stretch your arms and your body to reach the handle bars, then the size of the motorcycle is not right for you. Buy a motorcycle which you don’t need to stretch your hands in order to grip the handle bars. 5. Put the motorcycle on a belly stand, put your feet on the peg or running boards and if your knees don’t bump the handle bars then its right for you. But when you feel awkward on this position, then you don’t find the right motorcycle size. If you think you found the right motorcycle size, try sitting on the bike for a few more minutes. If you are still comfortable on it then you found the perfect motorcycle for you. Finding the right motorcycle size is one of the things you need to accomplish when looking for a bike. The size and height of the bike will affect your performance and your safety. Always remember that once you are comfortable with the height and size of the bike, then its right for you.
