This article was inspired by Boyd K. Packer—a Mormon Apostle. 1. The lord wants to hear from us The lord is exited to hear how things are going. He is on one end of a phone calling for us to talk to him. All we have to do is pick up the phone and answer. Every time we pick up the call and answer we are blessed even if it is small we are still blessed. 2. Prayer can help us out of tough situations Praying daily can help us out of places we are stuck. For example when I was younger I was coming home from school in my wheelchair one day. I was almost at my house when I got stuck in the snow. I tried and tried to get out but every attempt failed. After a while I decided to pray and ask for help. A little while after I prayed a friend came by to help me out. I think because I prayed the lord answered my prayer and helped me out. 3. Praying can help us stay out of the way of temptation Satan is trying his hardest to tempt us to go down the wrong path. Praying lets the lord we need help though a certain temptation and the lord will help us out. 4. Praying often keeps the spirit with us. Every time we pray to the Lord we get closer and closer to him and he can communicate better with us. Like if were crossing the street and a car is coming up fast. The holy ghost can prompt us to wait a little bit before crossing or if we need help before a test he can help us remember what we have studied. 5. Praying can give us blessings Praying is one of the ways that we can receive blessings. If we don't understand something in the scriptures if you ask the lord with a sincere heart and real intent the lord will bless you with the knowledge that you are confused with. I think praying should be a daily part of life because it gives you help when you need it and help you though life.
