Get Fit Fast With The 7 Minute Workout

Staying fit, active and eating healthy diets are top priorities for millions of people. However, the demands of life often get in the way, making it feel nearly impossible to squeeze in extra time for fitness. People have full-time jobs, families, social commitments, and other obligations to fulfill on a regular basis. Working out doesn't have to take hours out of your busy schedule. New fitness routines have combined a variety of strength and cardio movements that will benefit the entire body in just a few minutes. Many people are finding the 7 minute workout provides amazing results without the sacrifice of precious time.

Who Can Do It?

Virtually anyone with the desire to get in shape can do the 7 minute workout. It's always best to check with your doctor before beginning any kind of exercise program, but once you get clearance from him or her, you can begin immediately. The short workout is for experienced athletes who don't have the time to devote hours every day to working out. It's for someone who hasn't done much exercising at all, but wants to turn over a new leaf. The program is for busy moms who spend their days catering to needy children, cleaning, and cooking with little time leftover for themselves. It's for those busy dads who spend 40 hours or more working outside of the home each week. Anyone can find seven minutes during the day to devote to becoming a stronger, leaner, healthier person.

How Often Should I Do It?

A good goal to set is to try to do the workout program about three times per week. If you get off schedule and miss a few days in a row, it's important to keep with it. Try to schedule consistent times throughout the week to work out. Maybe you can find a few minutes before the rest of your family wakes up, while young children are napping, after you put the children to bed, or another time. It's not that difficult to find seven minutes within the day to work out. The key in sticking with it is making it a part of your daily schedule. After seeing and feeling the positive results, you might even find a way to extend your workout even further.

What Else Can I Do?

It's important to couple any workout program with a healthy diet. Avoid overeating by making sure your portion sizes are correct. Load up on whole grains, lean meats and cheeses, and fresh fruits and vegetables. Choose foods that will give you energy without unnecessary fat, sugar, and sodium. Avoid processed foods, as they often contain preservatives, or extra fats and sugars. Read labels carefully. Many foods boasting "Fat Free," "Sugar Free," or "Healthy," are actually misleading. Your best bet is to choose natural, fresh foods.

Incorporate physical activity into your daily life by parking far away at the grocery store, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or walking during your lunch break. If possible, ride a bike or walk to work a few times a week. These activities will add to your overall level of fitness and health.
